Pre-owned Cartier Santos de Cartier Watch ref W20122U2 is part of the Santos 100 collection, introduced in 2004 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Santos, one of the first purpose-built wristwatches. This version takes the classic square design and gives it a more modern, sport-driven feel, with a thicker case, broader proportions, and added wrist presence compared to earlier Santos models. This example comes in a 33mm stainless steel case, paired with a white rubber strap that's a bit more casual than the traditional bracelet. The white dial features applied silver Roman numeral hour markers rather than the printed style, giving it a bit more depth. Sword-shaped hands filled with luminescent material add functionality in lower light, which isn’t always a given with Cartier. A faceted crown completes the look. Powered by a self-winding movement, it’s a more contemporary take on a very historic design.
The watch looked nice in pictures, but was even better in person. For a pre-owned Cartier watch, it almost looks new.
