Rolex GMT-Master II w/ Root Beer Dial 16713
The GMT Master II boasts a GMT hand that utilizes the 24-hour rotating bezel to track time in Greenwich Mean Time, a feature that was originally developed by Rolex and the Pan Am Company as a means for pilots to track both their home and local times. As the GMT Master evolved, so did its movement, eventually allowing for the GMT hand to be set independently of the central hour, minute, and seconds hands. Transitioning effortlessly from local to home time meant that the pilots of the Pan Am Company would be on time no matter where their work took them. The reference 16713 that is offered here today is a distinct member the GMT Master II family with the addition of a "Root beer" bezel and matching brown dial topped with lume and an automatically changing date aperture.
