ROLEX SEA-DWELLER DEEPSEA 126660
The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is famously water-resistant up to 12,800 feet. The case's construction is truly innovative, utilizing a Helium Escape Valve for proper decompression, a Triplock waterproof screw-down crown, a Ring Lock System, and a lighter-weight Titanium case back. Additionally, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that protects the dial is not fitted with a Cyclops magnifier. It also boasts a thickness of 5mm, creating a hermetic seal that can withstand immense pressure.
In 2012, director James Cameron became the first person to reach the Mariana Trench. During his dive, a Deepsea Challenger was strapped to the side of his Submersible that withstood the pressures at a depth of 10,908 meters. To celebrate the momentous occasion, Rolex released the James Cameron Deepsea with a D-Blue gradient dial. The 126660 Rolex is the latest edition of several James Cameron Deepseas that features Chromalight on the dial and a brand-new calibre 3235 Perpetual movement.
