Pre-owned Lady Rolex Datejust ref 6824 (1981). The Datejust was released in 1945, making it the earliest example of a mechanical wristwatch with an automatically changing date display on its dial. Since then, the collection has expanded considerably to include countless design set options, from different case sizes and metal finishes to unique dials and classically elegant bracelets. The Rolex 6824 for sale here is a mid-size women's model with a 31mm Oyster case case. For comparison, the men's Datejust is 36mm, and depending on the year it was made, the Lady-Datejust measures anywhere from 24mm to 28mm. This model lives right in the middle - a sweet spot for women in the market for a slightly larger Rolex. It displays the time on one of the collection's most distinctive dials, decorated with tiny applied door stop hour markers and painted Roman numerals. Plump Tritium dots sit above each marker and have aged to a nice patina on this model.
