Rolex Submariner 16803
One of the most versatile and durable adventure watches is the Rolex Submariner 16803. Though made of luxurious materials, like 18k gold, ref 16803 offers many scratch and fade resistant components, such as a ceramic rotational unidirectional divers’ bezel coated in gold. This watch is considered the first two-toned Submariner, featuring both 18k gold and stainless steel. The 16803 Sub is also considered a transitional model and was the first to utilize Rolex’s scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Transitional watches are usually only produced for a short time, with the Rolex Submariner 16803 only produced for a few years. It is therefore considered a rare model.
