The vintage Date 1501 is just a really great watch, from the unassuming size and weight of the case and bracelet to the classy finish of the machine-turned bezel. If you're in the market for a notable Oyster Perpetual Date that will transcend time and fashion, the vintage Date is certainly a good choice. It was produced in the 1960s and is powered by a self-winding cal—1570 movement. The Date also includes a waterproof screw-down crown that was initially developed to protect the movement within. Today, the movement continues to read true and should keep perfect time for many more years of wear if properly serviced.
