Vintage Watch Condition Examination:
This GMT is in great vintage condition consistent with age. The case is strong with normal signs of wear. The fat font blue-back bezel is in great condition; the colors have remained vibrant. The dial has developed patina and the top layer of gloss has developed cracking, collectors refer to this as a "Spider dial." When looking at the dial closely, the center has smaller cracks and they get larger towards the edge. The lume on the dial has aged to a lovely creamy off white color. The lume in the hands has developed patina and have aged more white than the lume on the dial. The hands have developed patina which is not uncommon. The oyster bracelet is in great condition with a bit of stretch between the links.

Pre-owned Rolex GMT Master ref 16750 (1983) Pepsi Rolex is a coveted collector's item. In addition to boasting the distinction of a widely sought-after vintage Rolex GMT, ref. 16750 also sports the fan-favorite Pepsi bezel with a red and blue insert. The two-tone bezel was initially developed to help pilots and other world travelers distinguish between day and night hours and is now one of the collection's most beloved and distinctive features. Rolex produced ref. 16750 for a few years during the 1980s. It sports a retro acrylic crystal, lovely Tritium lume, and the high-beat caliber 3075 Perpetual movement with hacking and a Quickset date.
The example we have here is interesting for a couple reasons. First it features the early "No Date" dial meaning that it does not say the word "Date" after "Oyster Perpetual" under the word Rolex on the dial. Rolex would later make this common practice so some collectors really gravitate towards this little detail; its a bit cleaner with less text. Second the top layer of gloss on the dial has cracked, giving the dial a spiderweb look and these have been dubbed "Spider Dials." The watch was just as described, in fact, better than described online. The transaction was simple, secure, and seamless.
This was my first time working with Bob's and the process could not have been better from my perspective. The watch was a gift for my son who enjoys watches...this will be his 6th Rolex. I didn't participate in the conversations but he had several several questions which the staff fully answered. I entered when it was time to settle up. The customer service was great and the watch arrived very quickly. I'm not the the watch enthusiast in the family, but I see no reason why we wouldn't be looking for # 7 with Bob's as well.
