Vintage Watch Condition Examination
This Omega watch is in vintage condition with surface wear to the bracelet, case and bezel. The Omega signed crystal is in good condition with light wear. The dial, hands, bezel, crown, dust cover, crystal, and bracelet are later service replacements. The case has been polished and the hippocampus logo on the caseback is still visible. The dial and hands are clean and in great condition. The bracelet is in very good condition with signs of wear, the clasp has some scratches and an indentation.
Omega Speedmaster 145.0012
The Speedy we have here is a ref. 145.012 and houses the legendary 321 movement inside. This model also has a "pre-moon" caseback meaning it has no reference to the moon landing because at time of production that didn't happen yet. This watch has been all serviced up during a routine overhaul, meaning that the dial, hands, bezel, bracelet, etc. have been update to later service replacements. This is not an uncommon practice and even though the parts are later, they are still Omega and the watch still has a similar look and feel to the original. The watch has Luminova luminous material on the dial and hands it still can glow and coupled with the applied logo dial, it's a nice blend of modern and vintage. The applied logo on the dial is a similar characteristic the original dial would have had which adds more charm to the watch. These all serviced up examples offer a great value especially for a 321 Speedy.
