Omega released the limited edition Speedmaster Moon watch ref. 322.214.171.124.01.002 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo II mission. Apollo II was the mission that marked humankind's first steps on the moon, a feat during which Buzz Aldrin was wearing an Omega Speedmaster, later dubbed the "Moonwatch", on his wrist. As such a momentous occasion, it comes as no surprise that Omega releases a new Apollo II Limited Edition Moonwatch every five years, each of which becomes a widely sought-after collector's item. The ref. 3126.96.36.199.01.002 features a special silver medallion at the 9-hour marker depicting an American Eagle landing on the moon with the Earth in the background. A matching engraving adorns the case back along with the words "The First Watch Worn on the Moon July 21st, 1969 XXXX/7969". This is your chance to add a coveted Apollo II Limited Edition Moonwatch to your collection at a competitive price.
