Pre-owned Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award ref 310.32.42.50.02.001 (2022). Omega and NASA have a storied history, dating back decades. The Speedy was famously the first watch on the Moon and was present during every NASA lunar mission that followed. The Silver Snoopy Award is an honor bestowed by the space agency upon those who contribute to the success of their missions. Omega was the recipient of a coveted NASA Snoopy Award in 1970 following the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission. An Omega watch was integral in bringing the astronauts safely home after their onboard instruments failed
Ref. 310.32.42.50.02.001 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the award, complete with a depiction of Snoopy himself floating through space at 9 o'clock. Other tributes to the mission include a trajectory of the Apollo 13 mission on the lining of the blue nylon strap and a case back decorated with an image of the far side of the Moon and an innovative moving Command Service Module with Snoopy inside. The non-limited Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary model is in stock in excellent used condition.
