Oris Aquis Sun Wukong Limited Edition Blue Dial
Oris has partnered with the Shanghai Animation Film Studio Co. (SAFS) to produce this limited edition Sun Wukong Aquis Date. It was released to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Chinese film The Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven, initially released in 1961. In the movie, a monkey born from stone uses his supernatural powers to rebel against heaven. This story is depicted on the vibrant blue dial via a red and yellow seconds hand to represent the Monkey King's magical staff and a radiating pattern to illustrate how the staff spins while in battle. The Monkey King's story truly comes to life in this imaginative edition of the Oris Aquis Date. Only 2,000 pieces of this unique watch were produced.
