Oris Big Crown Original Pointer Date Silver Dial
The pointer date is one of Oris's signature complications, comprised of a calendar scale surrounding the dial's perimeter and a dedicated date hand. On the example you see here, the hand is decorated with a red half-circle that frames the indicated date. Ref. 01 754 7543 4061-07 8 20 61 also features older-style cathedral hands, retro Arabic and dagger hour markers, and a striking guilloche texture. Lastly, the dial is topped with a domed Plexiglas crystal. This design set is reminiscent of vintage Oris watches while bringing modern watchmaking technologies to the table, such as a self-winding Sellita base movement with a 38-hour power reserve.
