The line was developed as a nod towards the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS), who are a well-known aeromedical provider that provide aid to people in rural areas. The timepiece includes a bright, luminous reading that is easy to see at-a-glance in almost any environment as well as a day and date mechanism, a 38-hour power reserve, and a convenient pulsation ring around the perimeter of the dial that can be read against the dedicated hand to track a patient's pulse. The Pulsation dial was developed specifically for the Flying Doctor Service wristwatch and is a vital tool for those who are in the RFDS.
