The Radiomir collection sits at the very foundation of Panerai’s history, tracing its roots back to the military diving watches the brand originally supplied to the Italian Navy in the 1930s and 1940s. The PAM01349 builds heavily on that heritage while adding a distinctly modern and intentionally aged aesthetic through its Brunito eSteel™ case finish, giving the watch the appearance of a well-worn vintage instrument straight from the factory. This model displays the time on a California dial. Featuring Roman numerals on the upper half and Arabic numerals on the lower half, the unusual layout originally existed for practical purposes rather than style alone. Early California dials were often referred to as “error-proof” because the contrasting numeral styles made the dial easier to read quickly and helped prevent orientation mistakes in low-visibility conditions. Over time, the design became deeply associated with early Panerai history and is still one of the brand’s most recognizable vintage-inspired dial configurations today. This example adds even more personality with its dark green fumé-style dial and warm beige Super-LumiNova that creates a subtle faux-patina effect against the distressed case finish. The oversized 45mm cushion-shaped case, wire lugs, onion crown, and leather strap preserve the famous early Radiomir silhouette, while the in-house caliber P.5000 delivers an impressive eight-day power reserve.
