Pre-owned Patek Philippe Gondolo ref 5100R-001 (2000) was released in the early aughts to commemorate the new Millennium. The limited edition watch has a striking silhouette, featuring a design set inspired by vintage ref. 2554 with similar manta ray flanks. The winged flanks reflect the light beautifully as the wrist moves, creating an exciting and modern take on the classic Gondolo. Patek only made 750 pieces of the rose gold model, making the ref. 5100R-001 a truly exceptional find. It features a slate grey sunray dial adorned with rose gold and a handy power reserve indicator, a sophisticated leather strap to match the warm tones of the rose gold case, and an exhibition-style case back for a nice view of the caliber 28-20 REC 10J PS IRM. Lastly, at just under 12mm thick and 46mm from lug-to-lug, it takes a comfortable stance on many wrist sizes.
