This Calatrava is in overall good, honest vintage condition. The case is in overall great condition with scratches, nicks, and normal signs of wear. The hallmark on the side of the case at 4 o'clock is visible and shows signs of a previous polish. The back of the lugs show some wear from the bracelet. The crown appears to be a later "Calatrava Cross" style replacement. The dial is in honest condition with patina and some visible spidering (cracking) throughout with some flaking. The hour markers and hands have developed a very light patina. This watch has a removable 18k Patek Philippe bracelet that will fit 6 3/4'' - 7'' wrists. The bracelet is in overall great, honest condition with some scratches and normal wear throughout. It has a couple small areas of wear/ slight crack on the edge. The clasp is stamped with "PATEK PHILIPPE", "GENEVE", "SWISS MADE", "JPL", and "750"; the Calatrava insignia on the outside of the clasp has worn off. The crystal has some wear.

This is one of the lesser known references and according to scholarship, approximately less than 1000 examples were made in yellow, white, rose gold, and platinum making it quite uncommon. The 18k gold Patek Philippe bracelet complements the all-gold case well while adding to the elegant and sophisticated aesthetic that the Calatrava collection is known for. However, our favorite part of this vintage Patek Philippe is the dial, which is elegant in its simplicity with minimal stick hour markers and hands, small seconds just above 6 o'clock, and the Patek Philippe namesake. In addition, the bracelet on this watch is removable which is great because it allows for so many strap options. The dial has aged in a unique way, some could call it a "Spider Dial" adding some serious character to this Calatrava. This watch was originally intended for a mans wrist, but today it would be suitable for anyone's wrist and the bracelet can help dress it up.
