This Calatrava is in overall great, honest vintage condition. The case is in great condition with light scratches and some nicks on the case and bezel. The hallmarks on the underside of the top right and bottom left lug are clearly visible. The screw down caseback has some light scratches and a personalized engraving of "G.P.D"(this can be removed at the new owners request). The dial has developed a light even patina with some small marks that can be hard to notice. The hour markers and hands have developed a very light patina. It comes with an 18mm black leather strap. The crystal has some very slight wear, this is most noticeable at the 6 o'clock location.
This Calatrava ref. 3514J is your chance to own a coveted gold Patek Philippe watch without breaking the bank. This dress watch features a yellow gold 33.8mm case topped with acrylic crystal and screw-down caseback. This is one of the lesser known references and is quite uncommon. Our favorite part of this vintage Patek Philippe is the dial, which is elegant in its simplicity with minimal stick hour markers and hands, small seconds just above 6 o'clock, and a framed date window. When looking at the beautiful movement, we can see it has an "HOX" engraved which was the US import code for Patek at the time, this means the watch was destined for the United States market. This watch was originally intended for a mans wrist, but today it would be suitable for anyone's wrist.
