pre owned Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea Model 116660
The first Rolex Deepsea came to market in 2008 via ref. 116660. Its feature set includes an innovative case design that allows it to withstand depths of up to 3,900 meters/12,800 feet, the highest depth rating of any dive watch in the Rolex catalog. To achieve this level of waterproofness, the case is equipped with a thicker 5mm sapphire crystal, a Ring lock system, a screw-down case back, and a Helium Escape Valve. The valve is an innovative feature that allows the gasses that collect within the case to escape while performing deep saturation dives without dislodging the crystal. As a newer addition to the brand's catalog, this preowned Rolex also boasts a maxi dial with larger hour markers and hands, a Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert, and a robust 44mm diameter case.
