pre owned Rolex GMT-Master 16700
Rolex developed the GMT Master in the 1950s alongside the Pan American Company. This addition to the brand's catalog came during the dawn of Transatlantic flight and was developed to offer commercial pilots with a means for reading two time zones simultaneously. The resulting GMT Master was outfitted with a 24-hour rotating bezel as well as a dedicated hand on the dial that could be read against the bezel to sync with local time. The pre-owned Rolex 16700 was produced from approximately 1988 to 1999 and is the last of the original GMT Masters before being replaced by the GMT Master II line. Collectors who seek a pre-owned Rolex with a fascinating history will find the ref. 16700 particularly intriguing.
