The very first Sea-Dweller came to market in 1967, offering an increased depth rating of up to 2,000 feet or 610 meters. Today, the modern Sea-Dweller can travel as far as 4,000 feet or 1,220 meters below the surface of the sea. An incredible feat, to say the least, the Sea-Dweller boasts an innovative Helium Escape Valve HEV in addition to the screw-down crown, allowing the gasses that accumulate within the case to properly escape while leaving the crystal intact. The addition of this feature requires a slightly thicker case, creating an aesthetic that many collectors prefer over the Submariner. As a dive watch, the Sea-Dweller is also equipped with a unidirectional time-lapse bezel, a resilient stainless steel finish, and a dial topped with a luminous display, allowing the wearer to keep time safely while in the water.
I purchased a Sea-Dweller as a gift, which I haven't given yet. As usual, the watch arrived via next-day air from FEDEX as promised. I can't imagine a new watch looking much better. This is my 3rd purchase from Bob's Watches in the past year, so that should tell you how strongly I feel about their business. I wouldn't buy a used Rolex (or other luxury watch) from anyone else.

As advertised; beautiful piece.
The condition of the SD 16600 was listed as Excellent. Upon arrival, it was closer to Mint. I could not find anything to complain about the used condition. Even the green sticker was on the caseback. It runs a -1 sec/day and the bezel holds center at 12 o'clock. The lugs' lines are sharp and not polished round. There literally is nothing I can find wrong with this 21 year old watch.

I think this is an amazing value, you basically get an uber-submariner for less money. I also like that it does not have the cyclops eye. It came from Bob's the very next day and if you didn't have a microscope to see the 1 flaw, you would think it is new.
