The Oyster Perpetual Datejust takes on a contemporary form via the larger Datejust II. Introduced in 2009, the now-discontinued Datejust II boasts a 41mm Oyster case, a calibre 3136 Perpetual movement, and a slate dial topped with green and black Roman hour markers and yellow gold central hands. As a newer addition to the Rolex catalog, the Datejust II also boasts a Twinlock screw-down crown with two sealed zones, a feature that is screwed into the Monobloc middle case to ensure resistance up to 330 feet. The ref. 116333 that you see here today is the dual-tone Yellow Rolesor variation of the line that presents the case and bracelet in Rolex's proprietary 18 karat yellow gold and 904L-grade Oystersteel.
