Pre-owned Rolex Air-King ref 116900 (2016 - 2022). When Rolex reintroduced the Air-King in 2016 with the ref. 116900, it was a major departure from the more traditional, dress-oriented Air-King models that came before it. Earlier versions were simple, time-only watches with clean dials and understated styling. This new generation took a completely different direction, drawing inspiration from the dashboard instruments of the Bloodhound Supersonic Car, a land-speed project that Rolex helped support. The dial reflects that influence with its bold minute scale, large Arabic numerals, and a highly legible layout designed to resemble aviation and speed-record instrumentation. The watch features a 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with a smooth bezel and a black dial accented by a green seconds hand and the Rolex name in green.
Excellent buyer experience. Bob’s made sure I was the one purchasing the Air King and not someone else who may have obtained my credit info. Watch was shipped the next day via Fedex as advertised. Description of watch was actually understated in a good way. Rolex was in even better condition than advertised I assume in an attempt to manage expectations which were happily exceeded.
