By Paul Altieri
Rolex spent several years designing the quartz movement for their OysterQuartz line. The result was a battery-powered movement that was incredibly reliable. The OysterQuartz line itself was the product of what many avid collectors refer to as the Quartz Crisis of the 1970s that saw an influx in demand for Quartz watches. Rolex developed the line to keep up with the emerging trend. The OysterQuartz ref. 17013 that you see here today is a two-tone Datejust example of the line that is characterized by an angular case, an integrated bracelet with a spring release bar, and a handsome champagne dial. If you're interested in adding one of Rolex's most intriguing timepieces to your watch collection, the preowned ref. 17013 that you see here today is an excellent option to consider.
