The collection includes options in only steel, a combination of steel and precious metal, and all-gold. The ref. 279174 is the newest White Rolesor edition that consists of an Oystersteel case and bracelet and a stunning 18kt white gold fluted bezel. The newer-model Rolex also features a slightly larger 28mm case size, up 2mm from the older 26mm model, and a brand new caliber 2236 movement. The Jubilee bracelet mimics fine jewelry and drapes effortlessly around the wrist. This example also features a gorgeous white dial set with an elegant silver display.

My wife and I have worn Rolex Datejust watches for close to 40 years. This one we purchased earlier this week will replace the 2005 model that we will pass onto our daughter in recognition of earning her PHD. Rolex is one of those products that will never be questioned when owned...timeless, beautiful, reliable, and understated. Like all mechanical devices they need maintenance, eventually and that is OK!
