Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date 36 ref. 128345RBR (2019) is an ultra-luxurious expression of an already incredibly exclusive gold Rolex. The Day-Date has been Rolex’s flagship since 1956, when it became the first wristwatch to display the day of the week spelled out in full. This 36mm model is made entirely from 18k Everose gold, Rolex’s proprietary pink gold alloy introduced in 2005, and features a diamond-set bezel paired with the famous President bracelet. The real showstopper is the mother-of-pearl dial. Rolex uses the material in its natural state rather than artificially coloring it, which means variations in tone and pattern make each dial slightly different. Diamond hour markers continue the jewelry-like aesthetic, with larger baguette-cut diamonds at 6 and 9 o’clock. Inside is the caliber 3255 with approximately 70 hours of power reserve and both day and date displays. It’s an extravagant take on the President, but the traditional 36mm proportions make all those diamonds and Everose gold surprisingly wearable.
