Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date 40 ref. 228238 (2019). One of the first instances of Rolex exploring larger sizes for its famed Presidential lineup was the Day-Date II, released back in 2008. At 41mm, it was significantly larger than the previous 36mm models. However, there was certainly room for improvement. Enter the Day-Date 40. It has thoughtfully refined proportions and even a newer movement, and all without forsaking those famous Gold Rolex Presidential design codes. Ref. 228238 is the classic yellow gold model. It has a gold, waterproof Oyster case, surrounded by a glittering fluted bezel, paired here with a President bracelet with rounded, three-piece links. This model also features a matching champagne dial with baguette-cut diamonds to mimic the traditional baton-style hour markers.
