Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 116598 SACO (2000 - 2001) is a rather unconventional edition of the famous chronograph. Still, it is collection-worthy in its own right as one of the most exotic and luxurious models in the series. Introduced during Basel World 2004, it follows the standard 6-digit Daytona blueprint, including a waterproof Oyster case measuring 40mm in diameter and just over 12mm thick, the in-house caliber 4130 self-winding mechanical movement, and tri-compax dial. The ultra-glamorous design elements set this leopard Daytona apart from the rest. The dial is decorated with a distinctive animal print with black lacquered spots and brilliant-cut diamonds in yellow gold surrounds. Circling the dial are 36 exquisite baguette-cut Cognac Sapphires, aka "Saphirs Cognac" in French, or "SACO," hence the SACO suffix at the end of the reference number. Finally, a leopard print strap attaches to the case via diamond-encrusted end links and features a reliable deployant clasp. Rolex produced this absolutely wild Daytona in very limited quantities, and we just so happen to have the 116598SACO for sale here in excellent secondhand condition.
