Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 116505 (2019) was the first to pair Rolex’s proprietary Everose gold case with a matching full Everose bracelet. Rolex introduced Everose in 2005 as the brand’s own patented rose gold alloy, developed specifically to resist the fading that can occur over time with traditional rose gold. By incorporating platinum into the alloy, Rolex created a warmer and more stable pink gold tone that has since become one of the brand’s signature materials. Just a few years later, the Daytona ref. 116505 debuted and quickly became one of the most recognizable precious metal executions of the collection. Produced until 2023 before being replaced by the newer 126505 generation, the 116505 represents the final run of six-digit Everose Daytonas with the previous case and dial architecture many collectors still prefer. It carries all the details that made the modern Daytona such a phenomenon, including the sporty tachymeter bezel, balanced tri-compax chronograph layout, and Oyster bracelet integration that gives the watch its famous profile on the wrist. In full Everose gold, however, the personality shifts. The watch feels richer, warmer, and more luxurious while still retaining the motorsport DNA that has defined the Daytona since its introduction in 1963.
