Pre-owned Rolex Explorer ref 124273 (2022) was the first of its kind when it hit the market in 2021. Previously, the celebrated mountaineer's tool watch was only produced in stainless steel. As a traditionally understated, ready-for-anything outdoors men's watch, there was no need to add precious metal to the collection's portfolio. However, the series has been booming in popularity recently, and not just among collectors with a zest for adventure either, which warrants elevated design elements, such as gold. The steel and gold - aka "Yellow Rolesor" - model was well received and is already flying off the shelves at authorized dealers.
