pre-owned Rolex GMT Master II 116718
The first GMT Master II fitted with a ceramic Cerachrom bezel insert was released 2005 via the anniversary Rolex 116718. A very desirable collector's item, this edition of the iconic pilot's watch includes a handsome 18kt yellow gold finish, a black ceramic bezel insert with gold 24-hour graduations, and an exquisite green Maxi dial adorned with gold-trimmed luminous plots. The gold 116718 is powered by a newer calibre 3186 movement with a smoother hour hand and anti-magnetic technology. Other upgrades that came with the ref. 116718 include a new bezel mounting, the addition of an anti-reflective Cyclops lens over the date, and the upgrade from a Twinlock to a Triplock waterproof screw-down crown. No other gold Rolex is as distinctive as the discontinued green dial 116718, making it a coveted item on the secondary market.
