Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master II ref 16713 (1991) famed Rolex Root Beer forgoes the traditional Coke or Pepsi bezels from this era in favor of one in brown and gold tones, hence the charming nickname. Additionally, the traditional black dial has been swapped for a brown dial to match the bezel, and it is set with gold and Tritium hour markers and hands. Ref. 16713 is a two-tone model pairing steel with yellow gold. The gold elements pair well with the warm tones of the Root Beer bezel and brown dial, creating a GMT quite unlike anything else in the brand's past or present portfolio. Rolex produced the 16713 generation between the late 1980s and mid-2000s, outfitting those watches with tough scratch-resistant sapphire crystals and high-beat movements. This era was eventually discontinued to make way for the first wave of 6-digit models with ceramic-clad bezels.
