Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master 16700 - "Pepsi"
The GMT Master was introduced to market during the dawn of transatlantic flight in the 1950s. Developed at the behest of the Pan American Company, the line was equipped with a special movement with an extra 24-hour hand and a 24-hour rotatable bezel. These features allowed the wearer to read two time zones at once, making the GMT Master the ideal tool watch for the pilots of the infamous airline. The ref. 16700 was the last of the GMT Master watches produced before being discontinued and replaced by the GMT Master II. The ref. 16700 that you see here today is equipped with a very desirable "Pepsi" bezel with a blue and red aluminum insert, a black dial topped with Tritium plots, and a brushed stainless steel finish.
