Pre-owned Rolex Oyster Precision ref. 6426 (1981) is a bit of an oddity among Rolex's offerings because it relies on hand-wound technology rather than automatic, aka "Perpetual." As a result, the dial is still marked "Oyster" for the waterproof Oyster case but features the distinction "Precision" instead of "Perpetual". Aside from this small detail, it's every bit the classic vintage Rolex dress watch. The case is surrounded by a smooth bezel and features an older-style acrylic crystal and nicely tapered and brushed lugs. This example displays the time on s striking silver dial via vintage stick hour markers and Tritium in a very light patina. An excellent entry into vintage Rolex ownership for under $5k.
This is a watch for which I’d been searching for a while... a really clean no-lume 6426. The communication with the folks at Bobs was excellent and the guarantees give some piece of mind around a lifetime purchase. Arrived better than expected.
