In 1981, Rolex replaced the long-running GMT Master ref. 1675 with the 5-digit ref. 16750. In addition to offering a higher-beat calibre 3075 perpetual movement with hacking and a Quickset function, the ref. 16750 also brought with it a new hand order that changed to Hour, GMT, Minute, Seconds. The ref. 16750 that is presented here today is a very rare variation of the line that displays the time on a matte dial set with applied luminous plots, compared to the more common glossy dial variation with hour markers in white gold surrounds. The Tritium luminous material on the dial has since aged to a very attractive patina and there are minimal signs of wear on the bezel and metal finish. This Pepsi GMT Master is a very desirable ref. 16750 and will add immense character to any vintage Rolex collection.
The watch was just as described, in fact, better than described online. The transaction was simple, secure, and seamless.
This was my first time working with Bob's and the process could not have been better from my perspective. The watch was a gift for my son who enjoys watches...this will be his 6th Rolex. I didn't participate in the conversations but he had several several questions which the staff fully answered. I entered when it was time to settle up. The customer service was great and the watch arrived very quickly. I'm not the the watch enthusiast in the family, but I see no reason why we wouldn't be looking for # 7 with Bob's as well.
