pre owned Rolex Sea-Dweller Model 16600
Rolex developed their first official diver's watch in the 1950s via the Submariner. Early models offered a modest depth rating of up to 100 meters as well as a luminous display on the dial and a rotatable bezel. The Submariner would eventually offer resistance to depths of up to 200 meters and then later 300 meters, a depth rating that was surpassed by the impressive Sea-Dweller in the late 1960s. This model brought with it a new case design that included a Helium Escape Valve, allowing it to offer resistance to depths of up to 610 meters or 2,000 feet. The ref. 16600 is a popular variation of the Sea-Dweller line among preowned Rolex collectors who seek an entry-level reference. Its feature set includes a calibre 3135 perpetual movement, an aluminum unidirectional bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a stainless steel finish.
