Rolex Submariner 16800
The 16800 Rolex Submariner is a highly coveted collector's item among those who are in-the-know. The intriguing piece of Rolex history was the first Submariner to offer a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a higher depth rating of up to 300 meters. It was also the first Submariner to run on the cal. 3035 Perpetual movement, which beats at a higher rate than its predecessor, the cal. 1570. Watch was in condition as pictured and described. Some major dents and scuffs on the bracelet/end-link were hidden well by the lighting but were very noticeable in person. Overall the watch was in great shape for the age.

I’ve bought multiple modern pieces from Bob’s and had a great experience every time. I’ve been looking to buy a birth year Rolex for awhile now and for me, that’s a late production run 16800. Couldn’t be happier with the watch and for those out there looking for a Sub, you should seriously consider the 16800. It has some great “modern” features, but holds true to a more vintage feel and elegance. Incredibly comfortable on the wrist and will undoubtedly continue to grow in value in my opinion. It’s a can’t miss buy all the way around.
