The Rolex 16803 Submariner was among the first two-tone references in the line. The combination of stainless steel and 18 karat yellow gold was incredibly well-received at the time of its release as collectors sought to purchase gold Rolex watches at a more affordable price. The ref. 16803 that is presented here today boasts a very desirable feature set that includes a black aluminum bezel insert with gold 60-minute graduations, a matching black dial topped with luminous hour markers and hands that have aged to a warm patina, and a black rubber strap bracelet.
