The Rolex Datejust Turn-o-Graph debuted in the 1950s and was the first tool watch in the brand's catalog to boast a rotatable bezel. A few years after coming to market, the US Air Force's Thunderbird aerobatic team requested the timepiece for their skilled pilots, and the line was renamed the Rolex Datejust Thunderbird. This vital piece of Rolex history also boasts a classic Datejust feature set in the form of a waterproof 36mm Oyster case, a jump date on the dial, and a Perpetual movement. The ref. 116263 that you see here today is a newer variation of the series that also boasts a "Yellow Rolesor" finish of 18 karat yellow gold and Oystersteel, a new-style case with an engraved rehaut, a silky Jubilee bracelet, and a striking grey dial topped with a yellow gold display and a sporty red seconds hand and date wheel.
