This is your chance to add a two-tone edition of the Zenith "El Primero" Daytona to your watch box. A manual-winding movement famously powered the Daytona until the use of the Zenith "El Primero" movement, which is self-winding. At the time, the Zenith movement was the only automatic movement on the market that Rolex trusted to power their watches. The brand modified the cal. 4030 in-house to oscillate at 28,800 bph and to also remove the date mechanism. Around 2000, the movement was discontinued and replaced by one that is developed and produced entirely in-house, making this ref. 16523 an incredibly popular collector's item.
