Pre-owned Rolex Air-King ref. 126900 (2024) is the modern version of one of Rolex’s most unconventional sports models, replacing the outgoing 116900. At first glance, the dial layout is familiar: bold 3-6-9 numerals, oversized minute scale, and that distinctive Bloodhound SSC-inspired aesthetic. But Rolex refined the details. The 05 minute marker is now balanced with a leading zero, and the 3-6-9 numerals are filled with Chromalight, which the 116900 didn’t have. The case also evolved. Still 40mm, but now with slimmer lugs and crown guards, bringing it in line with the current Submariner and GMT proportions. It feels more cohesive, less blocky than the previous generation. Inside is the caliber 3230, replacing the 3131, which means a 70-hour power reserve and updated Chronergy escapement.
