Pre-owned Rolex Air-King ref 116900 (2020) is the reference that completely reshaped the identity of the Air-King. Introduced at Baselworld 2016, it wasn’t just a cosmetic update. It was the first time the model was fully integrated into Rolex’s Professional lineup. The jump to a 40mm Oyster case, shared with the Milgauss, immediately gave it more wrist presence and a more serious tool-watch feel than any Air-King before it. The dial is iconic. Designed around Rolex’s involvement with the Bloodhound Supersonic project, it mixes large 3-6-9 numerals with bold minute markers, a bright green seconds hand, and that green-and-gold Rolex signature at 12. It felt unconventional for Rolex at the time, and that’s exactly why it developed such a following. Inside beats the caliber 3131, with anti-magnetic protection and robust everyday performance. In 2022, Rolex introduced the ref. 126900 with a redesigned case, updated dial details, and a newer-generation movement. Even so, the 116900 remains the original modern reboot. The Air-King’s first true Professional-series evolution.

Description of watch was actually understated in a good way. Rolex was in even better condition than advertised I assume in an attempt to manage expectations which were happily exceeded.
