Made around Rolex's innovative Ringlock System, the formidable 44mm Oystersteel case is engineered to withstand an astonishing depth rating of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), making it one of the most technically advanced dive watches ever produced. It was the successor to the ref. 126660 and brought with it several thoughtful refinements, including a larger, easier-to-read date display and a slightly broader Oyster bracelet with an updated clasp that improves balance and comfort on the wrist.
