The Rolex brand invented the first waterproof case in the 1920's, which it named the Oyster after its watertight seal. The Oyster case has evolved over the years offering a stronger seal in modern references, such as the ref. 116000 that we have listed here today. This used Rolex utilizes a process of screwing the case back, bezel, and Twinlock screw-down crown into the middle case to seal it. The Twinlock crown itself offers two sealed zones, further ensuring its waterproofness. Within the case of this ref. 116000 lies a Rolex calibre perpetual movement, thus its name: the Oyster Perpetual. Crafted from steel Oyster steel and topped with a matching dial, this handsome men's Rolex will quickly become the highlight of your watch collection.
