When the Submariner came to market in the 1950's, it was only available in a stainless steel finish. In 1969, the brand released the first all-gold Submariner and, a little over a decade later, they also released a two-tone variation. The steel and gold Submariner allows collectors to purchase a gold Submariner at a more affordable price than its all-gold counterpart and also offers a style that is more subtle and versatile. The men's pre-owned Rolex 116613 is the newest two-tone Submariner, offering an upgraded case and bracelet as well as a calibre 3135 perpetual movement, a depth rating of up to 1,000 feet, and a unidirectional time-lapse bezel with a Cerachrom insert.
