The White Rolesor Rolex Datejust Thunderbird may look like a classic dress watch, however, when it debuted in the 1940's, it was marketed as a sports watch. In fact, the Datejust Thunderbird boasts the title of Rolex's very first tool watch, thanks to the addition of a timing bezel. Referred to as the "Turn-o-Graph", the bezel on this variation of the Datejust predates many iconic Rolex sports watches, including the Submariner and GMT Master. With a history that impressive, who wouldn't want to add a Thunderbird to their collection? The modern reference 116264 that we have listed here today boasts a style similar to other newer Datejust models with a double-sealed Twinlock screw-down crown, a white gold fluted bezel, broad lugs, and a satin and high-polish 904L stainless steel finish.
