Rolex Datejust 16000
Introduced in 1945, the Datejust has since become one of the most successful watches in the Rolex lineup. It made watch history as the first automatically winding watch to also include the addition of an automatically changing date aperture, a feature that is seen here on this reference 16000. Prominently displayed at the 3-hour marker, the date aperture is also accompanied by a magnifying Cyclops lens, making the date 2.5 times larger and easier to read. A smooth bezel, striking black dial, and 5-piece link Jubilee bracelet complete the classic design of this dress watch. The sophisticated style of the Datejust is accompanied by a sturdy construction that can hold up against everyday wear, thanks to the 36mm Oyster case and screw-down crown that is waterproof up to 330 feet.

Had never shopped with Bobs and wasn't sure if their ratings of the vintage watches were going to be accurate. I purchased a 1978 vintage Datejust which they had described as excellent. The watch arrived and exceeded my expectations in every way. The jubilee bracelet has zero stretching, the silver face had faded slightly and was beautiful, the case was perfect. They obviously buffed or replaced the crystal as it too was flawless. Not many opportunities to say a business exceeded my expectations in this day and age, it is my pleasure to leave this review.
