Rolex Datejust 116264
Rolex collectors in-the-know will recognize the Datejust "Thunderbird" Turn-o-Graph as the brand's first official tool watch. In addition to offering a classic Datejust feature set via a fluted bezel, 36mm case diameter, and date complication on the dial, the Thunderbird was also the first Rolex watch to offer a rotatable timing bezel, predating other more well-known tool watches such as the Submariner and GMT Master. The ref. 116264 that is presented here today is a newer preowned Rolex that features a White Rolesor finish of 18 karat white gold and 904L Oystersteel as well as a matte black dial, a red and black "roulette" date wheel, a new-style Oyster case with an engraved inner reflector ring and polished lugs, and a new-style Oyster bracelet secured by an Oysterclasp.
