Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date President ref 18078 (1985) is a coveted "barked" Rolex featuring a textured bezel and center links. At the same time, this ref. 18078 is a classic gold 5-digit model with a 36mm waterproof Oyster case, self-winding Perpetual movement with dual apertures, and a three-link bracelet with supple, rounded links. This watch was advertised as circa 1983 in excellent condition. I could not find one flaw on it. It is as close to mint as any watch I have seen at a dealer's store. The bark finish is much more stunning in person than it is in photographs. I am beyond pleased that I made the choice for the bark finish. Anyone else deciding on bark finish, do yourself a favor and see one in person. They are fabulous!
