Rolex President 118238
The Rolex Day-Date came to market in 1956, bringing with it an innovative design that included both a date display and the day spelled out in full on the dial. Early models were known simply as the Day-Date. It wasn't until President Lyndon B. Johnson was photographed with one on his wrist that the model began to go by the name President Day-Date. While many subtle upgrades have been made to the line throughout the past several decades, a few things remain constant, such as the use of precious metals, the date and day displays on the dial, the use of a perpetual movement, and waterproofness up to 100 meters. The newer preowned Rolex 118238 that is listed here today is a handsome gold example that displays the time on a sophisticated white dial.
