Description: Rolex Daytona 116506
Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 116506 (2023) was released in 2013, just in time to celebrate the collection's 50th anniversary. Featuring a chestnut brown ceramic bezel, an icy blue dial, and premium 950 platinum, ref. 116506 was unlike any other chronograph produced by the Big Crown at the time and has since become a highly prized collector's item by even the most discerning luxury watch collectors.
Fast forward ten years to Watches and Wonders 2023. Rolex discontinued the entire original 6-digit Daytona collection (ref. 116506 included) to make way for a new generation of chronographs. Among the new watches is ref. 126506, which now sports an exhibition case back. The Rolex 116506 for sale here was the last platinum model to feature a solid case back. Its status as a discontinued Rolex and its exclusive platinum finish and solid case back makes this platinum Rolex extremely collectible.
